Each workshop consists of 2 or 4 days (except for Sunday). Each day costs 55 euros. If you are eligible for the reduced rate*, you will only pay 45 euros per day.

*For -26 and people on benefits or income support

Sunday will have a different format from previous editions. We will close the festival in a splashing
way with a workshop by Los Informalls, a closing ritual and a performance (more info on p. 11). On Sunday, you can be there for 20 euros.

Location

The meeting point is De Expeditie, Dok-Noord 4F in Ghent. There you will receive a warm welcome every morning, can you start your day with a coffee at the festival bar and find out which dance class your workshop will take place in.

Dok-Noord is easily accessible by public transport.
By train: fifteen minutes’ walk from Gent-Dampoort station.
By tram: take tram 4 in the direction of Muide-Moscou to the Tolpoort stop five minutes’ walk away.
By bus: take bus 8 to the Heilige Kerk stop or bus 5 to the Dok-Noord stop 5 minutes’ walk away.

There is plenty of space around De Expeditie to park your bike.

You can also rent a bike through Blue Bikes (NMBS), Donkey Republic (app), Dott (app) and the bicycle embassy at Gent-Dampoort Station. More information can be found at www.outofthetoolbox.be.

By car: via Dampoort or the R4 and Kennedylaan. There is paid parking in the underground car park. You can also park in Koopvaardijlaan across the water (3,5 euros per day), from where you can walk to Dok Noord across the pedestrian bridge. There is parking available around Dok Noord, but only for five hours.

To improve air quality, Ghent’s inner city (the area within the ring road R40) is a low-emission zone. Only vehicles that meet the conditions for admission are allowed into this zone. Do you want to know whether your car can enter the LEZ? Fill in the test on www.lez2020.gent.

Accessibility

At Out of the Toolbox, we welcome all bodies!

  • The chosen teachers are used to working with dancers of different ages and with varying levels and bodies. Their approach ensures that this diversity enriches all participants.
  • The festival is wheelchair accessible (wide doors, no thresholds, no stairs, toilet for wheelchair users). However, it is best to contact us in advance at outofthetoolbox@danspunt.be so we can adjust studio arrangements if necessary.
  • If you have additional questions (about physical accessibility, content of specific workshops, allergies, pumping space,…) or need extra support, please do not hesitate to contact us via outofthetoolbox@danspunt.be. Together we’ll see how we can offer you the best experience.

Comfort

Showers are available at Danspunt (Dok-Noord, Sint-Salvatorstraat 18, 9000 Ghent), where a few of the workshops take place. But do bring a towel.

Food and drinks

We will be providing delicious, healthy meals as we did for the previous editions. Sign up each day for the vegetarian lunch and/or evening meal at very attractive prices (8 euros per meal). Do you have any allergies or intolerances we should consider? Feel free to contact us in advance at outofthetoolbox@danspunt.be.

The festival bar is open all day.

It is important to note that we are a cashless festival. Thus, payment can only be made by card.
