Did you know your voice can be an extension of your body? Discover the astonishing possibilities of vocal expression at this workshop with Emma Bonnici. Get to know your body in a different way by approaching it through your voice. We will look at vocal placement, timbre, resonance and how you can express the stories concealed in your body.
Emma Bonnici is a real expert on the voice, thanks to her experience with the award-winning Polish theatre companies Song of the Goat Theatre and Theatre Zar, at the Met Opera House in New York and with the singer Jonathan Hart Makwaia (Roy Hart Theater). She has researched Siberian polyphonic folk songs and been on an expedition to meet traditional singers in Georgia, Sicily, Scotland and Turkey. She also practices craniosacral therapy, a form of massage that releases the muscles and facial tensions that limit the voice.
This workshop consists of two sessions of two hours. You can also sign up for the same workshop to be held on Saturday 25/08.
