Inspiration & inclusion
Switch2move is a method to improve the lives of people with chronic physical or mental disabilities. Andrew Greenwood develops dance sessions for elderly people and people with Parkinson’s or Multiple Sclerosis. In this workshop he introduces you to his method, which he has named Switch2Move and which has movement, health, art and people as its 4 basic building blocks. S2M combines dance, physicality and mindfulness. The Greenwood approach ensures that your inner self is more closely involved in your physical activity. You will learn how to bring about new habits and changes in your lifestyle with minimal effort and with mindfulness, the effect of which is felt immediately.
Andrew Greenwood is a professional dancer and international ballet master. He soon discovered the possibilities that dancing offers for people affected by diseases such as Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis and started developing dance sessions for them. To do that, he worked with the patients themselves and with experts in the field of science and dance. In 2012 he founded the Dance for Health Foundation, mentoring over 40 teachers internationally.
