‘Qualities of presence’ and mindful movement
Marina Tsartsara is an expert in Body-Mind Centering®, an experiential somatic practice that integrates movement, the body and consciousness. Using BMC® you will discover how relations, touch and the world of anatomy can inspire and guide spontaneous movement. Through individual explorations and partner work you develop a deeper sensitivity for listening to your body, space and others.
This workshop encourages creative expression and mindful movement exploration in a safe, supportive environment. Ideal for dancers, performers and anyone who wants to delve into embodied consciousness and creative movement processes based on anatomy.
Tsartsara gives three workshops in three days. Every day has a different focus. You can attend one workshop to get a taste of the method or feel the added value of fully immersing yourself in the BMC® experience by participating every day.
Day 1: Bones & Fluids (20/08)
Through touch, voice, breathing and movement you will embody specific bones, as well as their character. How can fluidity and structure, mobility and stability complement and support each other?
Day 2: The three brains (organs) (21/08)
On day two, the focus is on embodying the brain, heart and intestines. This workshop explores the dialogue between these organs, their embryological origins and development, and their relationship to each other.
Dag 3: Fascia & Developmental movement (23/08)
In this workshop you will explore the character of the fascia, the connecting tissue between all the parts of your body. Through spatial relationships and developmental movement patterns you will get to know the fluidity, flexibility and resilience of fascia.
