19:30 NO FEAR – NO SHAME – NO GUILT by Sarah De Geyter
NO SHAME – NO GUILT – NO FEAR is an interdisciplinary performance project that explores life with OCD and the fine line between control, anxiety and the longing for peace. Through costumes, textiles, movement and sound, inner processes are made visible, and repetition, compulsion and vulnerability take on a physical and visual form. The performance draws on personal experiences, conversations with fellow sufferers and the poetic power of the human body in motion. What often remains hidden becomes tangible and recognisable, both for people living with OCD and for those who wish to empathise with a different reality. In this way, art becomes a space for encounter, imagination and healing, in which shame gives way to recognition and dialogue.
Sarah De Geyter is an artist from Lokeren with strong ties to her family and local community. She lives and works in her grandparents’ house, where she has developed her own practice into an art and community space: Nanda, a venue where she organises a variety of activities and workshops. In her work as a freelance costume designer, she focuses on ecology, recycled materials and socially engaged, participatory art. Her journey – from home schooling to further education, art history and fashion – reveals a clear drive to create, feel and connect.

“What can one do with oneself in a world that increasingly denies us?
Caught between absurdity and tangible reality, a woman in a suit is about to present a show. 𝐼𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑖𝑡 𝑖𝑠 is at once a reflection on the individual’s place in society, a playground for language, and a cry from both the heart and the body.”
If dictatorship speaks only one language, this monologue honors the way words intertwine, how they expose, defend, disturb, and poetize. It celebrates movement, the urgency to dance, and the irrepressible need to speak. Through a rhythmic and visceral performance, the piece explores themes of censorship and freedom.
Should I stay polite, or should I let it fall apart ?

Based in Brussels, Lou Grivac is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice lies at the intersection of dance, music, and physical theatre. Drawing on contemporary dance, physical theatre, singing, and harp performance, she develops a politically engaged and humorous body of work through choreographic writing and sonic experimentation. Her creations are characterized by a strong expressive dimension, where movement interacts with voice, text, and the musicality of the body. Committed to connection and knowledge-sharing, she also leads projects with diverse audiences, exploring the relationships between artistic creation, the exchange of experiences, and human engagement.
This project is supported by CODE DANS+. Every year, Danspunt supports 25 projects with a creation budget of up to 3,000 euros, artistic coaching from a professional, access to dance studios at Danspunt in Ghent, and personalised advice and guidance. You will showcase your work at a non-traditional dance venue and bring dance to a place where the audience least expects it.
