What does Jan Marten’s work do to you and what do you do with it?

In this workshop, Pierre Bastin introduces you to the methodology and repertoire of choreographer Jan Martens. You will dive into dance elements from the performances The dog days are over, The common people, and Any attempt will end in crushed bodies and shattered bones.

You will experiment with jumps, repetition, geometry in space, and the construction of a choreography. The result: a playful but physical workout in which trying together is central. You will dance in a group, test boundaries, and discover how simplicity and endurance can become powerful. The workshop is accessible to all levels. No dance experience is necessary.
