This workshop explores the Flying Low technique, developed by David Zambrano that focuses mainly on the dancer’s relationship with the floor. It makes use of simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body. This technique activates the relationship between the centre and the joints, and enables you to move in and out of the ground more efficiently by maintaining a centred state. The class will include partnering work and movement phrases that explore the primary laws of physics: cohesion and expansion.
For those who like a physical challenge.
